How to Play

Play Agent Banie online for free. Agent Banie is a retro-themed platform shooter where you play as the eponymous agent. Take out all the aliens of the level as fast as you can. If you die, just try again. Keep trying until you clear the level. Use your game statistics to see how well you've been performing. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

Your browser will detect whether you are on a desktop or mobile device.
On the welcome screen are 4 buttons below the title of the game:
- Start begins the game
- Options adjust the game’s settings.
- Statistics lets you view how well you’ve been playing the game.
- More games lets you view the rest of the games on-site.
- On the lower left corner are two buttons that let you share the game to your friends in social media.
- On the lower right corner are two other buttons:
  - The credits button shows you a credit roll for the people who made the game.
  - The enlarge button toggles full screen mode.
  - If you’re playing for the first time, you play through a cutscene-type level that serves as your tutorial.
    - This level explains the basic lore of the game.
    - The tutorial only plays when you play the game for the first time.
    - You cannot die in the tutorial.
    - Your web browser automatically saves your progress, game statistics, and best score.
      - You can clear your statistics by selecting reset data in the options menu.
      - Game Controls
        Desktop
        Use the left and right arrow keys to move.
        Use the up arrow key to jump.
        Use the C key to attack. Hold down the C key to fire a charged shot.
        Use the Z key to activate your dash or your special attack.
        Touchscreen devices
        Tap the screen with your fingers to move around.
        Tap on the SA button to activate your special attack.
        Tap on the dash button to activate your dash.
        This game is much more useable on desktop devices than on mobile devices.
        Game Play
        Interface
        On the bottom left are 2 indicators for your special moves
        Dash
        SA (special attack)
        On the bottom center are the following labels:
        Time
        Level
        Number of deaths
        Levels
        You play through several levels of increasing difficulty in this game.
        To clear a level, you must kill all the aliens present.
        Attacking
        Keep attacking the hostile aliens until they die.
        As you attack the aliens, they become much smaller and consequently become harder to shoot.
        If they go a few seconds without getting attacked, they grow back to their original sizes.
        Each alien takes several shots to take out.
        Often, you would need to actively chase aliens in a corner to shoot at them with efficiency.
        As they grow smaller, the aliens would begin launching their own projectile attacks at you.
        When the aliens reach the smallest size and perish, they will fire a large barrage of projectiles as they die.
        Kill all the aliens to clear the level.
        Special moves
        Charged shots
        Charged shots are an alternative to regular shots and can be used as many times as needed.
        Rather than using regular bullets, charge shots fire a single powerful shot that sustains a lot of damage at once.
        A few charged shots can make quick work of aliens but need time to build up.
        You must rely on a mix of regular and charged shots to clear a level.
        Special attack
        Activate your special attack to release a targeted barrage of bullets across the platforms.
        Your player character will first stand in place to prepare.
        Crosshairs will appear on the aliens when this happens.
        The attacks will deal a blow to many of the aliens and can quickly put a stop to the ones that have shrunk.
        Dash
        You can activate the dash after you fired your special attack.
        Dash charges faster than the special attack. You can use it more often.
        The dash gives you a large boost in speed.
        This will let you evade and chase the aliens more effectively.
        Your special attack and dash moves have a cooldown period. It will take a while before you can use them again.
        Dying
        You essentially have infinite lives. You can die as many times as you want to clear the level.
        If you touch any of the aliens, you die.
        If you make contact with any of the projectiles fired by the aliens, you die.
        Dying will interrupt your special moves.
        Strategy
        This game favors hit and run tactics. Chase after the aliens as they flee, then run away when they begin getting close.
        Focus on taking out one alien at a time. Do note that the aliens become more aggressive as they get smaller.
        Use charged shots when an alien is close and the others are further away.
        When chasing an alien, keep a wary eye out for the others.
        Target Audience
        People who like retro shooter games should like this game.
        There are no adult themes in this game.
