How to Play

Play Stan the Man online for free. In Stan the Man, your job is to help the protagonist launch grenades at a horde of undead zombies. Fire grenades in strategic spots to take out as many zombies as you can. Clear all zombies from each level to move onto the next & fight your way through 20 stages. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

Select the small play button on the bottom right corner of the welcome screen to begin.
Below the play buttons are a row of even smaller buttons. From left, they are as follows:

- Music button: Controls the game’s music
- Speaker button: Controls the game’s sound effects
- Enlarge button: Lets you switch between windowed and full-screen modes.

        Controls and indicators
        The game’s main controls are located on the bottom right corner. From left, these are as follows:
        Controller button
        Reset button: Brings the level back to its state in the beginning
        Gear button: Brings you back to the welcome screen
        Music button
        Speaker button
        Enlarge button
        On the bottom left corner are the following:
        The level number
        Your current score
        Your grenade counter
        Game Play
        Level selection
        Levels are unlocked sequentially. Finish the first level to unlock the second, and so on.
        Only the very first level is playable at the start of the game.
        You can replay any of the levels you’ve already unlocked.
        Basic rules
        As Stan, fire grenades to destroy the zombies.
        Grenades have a 3-second timer before they explode.
        The grenades will only harm the zombies, not Stan.
        The grenades bounce. Use this to your advantage.
        Fire the grenades in angles to make sure that they land as close to the zombies as possible.
        Your blast can pass through metal grating or boxes to harm adjacent zombies.
        Some stages have an explosive oil drum which is set off by detonating a grenade near it. The oil drum has a far larger blast radius where it damages nearby objects and zombies.
        Aiming
        Your angle determines the shot angle.
        Your distance determines how hard you shoot (and thus how far the grenade will bounce off something if it ricochets).
        If you want to ricochet a shot with great force do not aim at the object you are bouncing off of, but try to aim further behind it to shoot a harder shot.
        You only have a limited number of grenades to take out the zombies.
        Take out all the zombies before you run out of grenades.
        Your final level rating depends on how many grenades you have left when the level is clear of zombies.
        You fail the level if you run out of grenades.
        Tips
        Often, it’s the zombies in front of Stan that are the hardest to tackle because of the way the grenade bounces.
        To get to these, you must often choose to shoot at an opposite angle.
        This way, the grenade can bounce off toward the target zombies as they pass.
        The indirect route is, in general, often the best way to get to hard to reach zombies that seem out of range.
        You can ricochet your shots off platforms, zombies, boxes, and the edge of screens.
        Aim for the highest zombies first
        If you miss or your grenade ricochets you will often hit some of the lower zombies.
        Sometimes you can blow up zombies through boxes or metal platforms.
        Consistent shots
        If you are making a tough shot use the background level design to help you keep your aim fairly consistent while adjusting it as needed.
        This is especially important if you are making hard to predict ricochet shots with a tight clearance window.
        Rapid fire
        In some cases your shot has too much momentum & rolls off platform, while in other cases the shot rolls to slow on a platform to make it to the destination before exploding.
        By shooting shots in rapid succession sometimes one shot can alter the trajectory of another.
        Twins
        Some zombies stand close together. Landing a grenade in between them uses both as stops, which guarantees you will blow both up.
        Target Audience
        The game is suited for players who like level destruction shooter games.
        In this game the player blows up zombies, but there is no blood.
        Other than the above the game has no adult themed content.
