How to Play

Play Eyecopter Gemland online for free. Eyecopter Gemland is a 15-stage 2D helicopter flying level escape game where you must collect a gem from each level and return it to the escape location to beat the level. Collect all the coins to finish at 100% and finish quickly to beat your best time. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

Select the gray and black PLAY button on the game loading screen.
Click anywhere on the game welcome screen to start the game.
- This will bring up the level select screen.
- Initially only the first level is available for play, but each time you beat a level you unlock the next.
- Your web browser automatically stores what percent complete in each level (did you collect all the coins) along with how long it took you to beat the level. You can play each level multiple times, where you play to beat it in the fastest time possible & you play again to try to collect all the coins.
- Game Controls
  - Desktop
    - Use your arrow keys to move.
    - The up arrow key gives you lift. You can also use the W key, the spacebar, or the mouse left click button for lift.
    - Left and right arrow keys help you move left or right. The A key also moves left while the D key moves right.
    - Select the R button to reset the current level.
    - Touchscreen devices
      - This game was designed primarily for desktop devices.
      - Controls & indicators
        Level select screen
        The level select screen shows the fastest time you beat each level in.
        As you scroll over each level it also mentions what percent of the coins you obtained from each level.
        The level select screen also shows you total gem count and coin count. The game has 17 gems and 193 coins, with 140 of those coins being spent to unlock level 15.
        The upper right corner of the level select screen contains buttons for sound & music control.
        Level screens
        The upper left corner of the level screen contains a level restart button & shows how much time you have played the level for.
        The level timer only starts counting time after your first helicopter move.
        After you beat a level a button for the level select screen appears in the upper right corner.
        Game Play
        Levels
        This game has 15 levels which must be beat sequentially to unlock the next.
        Levels are quite easy early in the game, but difficulty ramps up as you progress. Level 14 is quite hard.
        Most levels have a single gem in them which you must collect & bring to a target.
        Early in the game the target you must bring the gem to is typically the same spot where you started the level.
        As you advance through the game some levels have a different start location than ending location.
        Level 15 has 3 different gems in it. Each time you deliver a gem to the destination the red bar closes. You can also go around the right side of the level rather than hitting the red switch repeatedly to keep re-opening the red bar.
        Blue gems are light but red gems are heavier and harder to carry.
        Levels have coins on them you can collect.
        If you miss some coins from a level you can go back and collect those coins & the gem from that level to complete the level to 100%. You do not need to collect the previously collected coins & the coins you collected previously will be lightly outlined rather than appear in their full bright color.
        Level 15 requires 140 coins to unlock.
        Moving
        You rapidly sink if you release the up arrow key (or similar means of propulsion), so you need to at least tap it intermittently to not fall.
        You can adjust your vertical thrust while also changing your horizontal movement.
        When you adjust your horizontal movement or vertical thrust you are adjusting your movement relative to the momentum which was already in place.
        You can fly through ice blocks to break them.
        If red walls are blocking your path you can hit red switches to open them.
        Dying
        You die if you run into a sharp object or go off screen (high, low, left or right).
        You can bump into regular walls and ceilings that do not have spikes on them without dying.
        You get an unlimited number of continues in this game.
        Enemies
        While you can try to beat each level quickly there is no official time limit for each level, so your main enemy is sharp objects.
        Avoid bumping into fixed or moving sharp objects.
        If you have a spot you keep dying you can try to break the level into smaller chunks by stopping on platforms without spikes in between areas with hazards.
        If there is a spinning hazard try to pass by it in the same direction it is spinning rather than flying against it (so that you minimize your relative speed difference and give yourself as much time as possible to pass it).
        Spinning spiked balls at the end of ropes or chains hurt you if they hit you, but the rope or chain does not, so in some cases it can make sense to wait on a platform in the middle until your exit timing is right.
        If the top or bottom of a passage has spikes but the other side does not then try to skew more toward the part which does not have spikes, as bumping into it won’t hurt you.
        Target Audience
        The game is suited for people of all ages who like flying escape games.
        The game has no adult themed content.
