Play Zone 90 online for free. Zone 90 is a simple real-time strategy game. Recruit and command armies and take on the enemy forces on the other side of the map. Destroy the enemy base and its defenders. Play through 11 challenging stages in mission mode or play a skirmish game. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

To begin, select either of the following buttons at the center of the welcome screen:
- Mission mode
- Skirmish mode
- Select the speaker button on the top right corner of the screen to turn the game’s audio on or off.
- Your web browser automatically saves your game progress including completed levels.

    - With your mouse:
      - Left click on a unit to select it.
      - Left click anywhere on the map while a unit is selected to move it.
      - Left click on the select all button to select every unit visible onscreen.
      - Left click on a hostile unit while a friendly unit is selected to attack it.
      - Move the mouse cursor toward an edge of the screen to scroll the screen in that direction.
      - Touchscreen devices
        
        Tap on the screen with your fingers and use them as a mouse.

        Mission
        
        This is composed of levels and acts as a tutorial for the game.
        
        Finish each mission to unlock the next.
        
        Skirmish
        
        In this game type you must build out your buildings including barracks and a refinery, then build an army to take on the opposing team.
        
        Basic rules
        
        Move your squadron of units around to locate the enemy.
        
        Use the correct vehicles and infantry types to fight enemies one at a time from afar whenever possible, so you can take out many enemies even if you have a smaller army.
        
        Clear each mission by defeating all the enemy units in the field.
        
        Unit types
        
        Infantry
        
        You have 2 basic infantry units:
        
        Riflemen have a stronger attack against other units but a poor range.
        
        Rocketeers inflict more damage on vehicles and buildings and a greater range.
        
        Use the infantry’s strengths in tandem to take out enemies faster.
        
        Vehicles
        
        Humvees
        
        Humvees are vehicles that make quick work of riflemen when fighting one on one.
        
        They are vulnerable to multiple soldiers attacking them at once.
        
        Tanks
        
        The tank is the most powerful vehicle in the game.
        
        It outranges the humvee.
        
        Unit count
        
        Like many real-time strategy games, this one has a population limit.
        
        Each player can control a maximum of 20 units.
        
        Economy
        
        Buildings
        
        You can only units when their building is ready.
        
        There are 4 types of buildings you can make:
        
        Barracks: Creates infantry
        
        Factories: Creates tanks and humvees
        
        Defense turrets: Fires at enemies and helps protect your base
        
        Refineries: Generates income when built on top of a reserve of gold.
        
        A fifth building, the command center, cannot be built.
        
        The command center is the heart of your forces. It allows you to build factories, barracks, and refineries.
        
        If it is destroyed, you lose the game.
        
        Destroy your foe’s command center to defeat them.
        
        Unit creation
        
        Units and buildings cost money and take time to build.
        
        You can queue the production of units.
        
        The game encourages the effective use of smaller armies due to the population cap of 20.
        
        Money
        
        You need refineries to generate money.
        
        Plop the refinery in a gold deposit. This is a crack in the ground that glows yellow.
        
        Because of its long-term importance to your war effort, you should always build your refinery first.
        
        Levels
        
        Levels are unlocked in sequence:
        
        You start the game with only the first level unlocked.
        
        Finish one level to unlock the next.
        
        The levels in mission mode act as a tutorial for the game.
        
        There are 11 levels in this game.
        
        You can replay any of the levels you’ve unlocked.
