How to Play

Play Space Pursuit online for free. Space Pursuit is an endless space flying survival game where you must create a path which enables you to evade other spaceships until you can destroy them. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

Select the play button in the bottom center of the welcome screen to start the game.
Game Controls
- Desktop
  - Turn counterclockwise (or left) by pressing either the A key or the left arrow key.
  - Turn clockwise (or right) by pressing either the D key or the right arrow key.
  - Touchscreen devices
    - Tap the left side of the screen to turn left (or counterclockwise).
    - Tap the right side of the screen to turn right (or clockwise).
    - Game Play
      - Goal
        The goal of this game is to survive as long as you possibly can without crashing into another ship.
        The other spaceships start in a black hole near the center of the screen and then follow your flight path.
        As you play longer the screen fills with more enemies.
        Each enemy ship you destroy is worth 1 point.
        Your web browser automatically saves your high score.
        You can collect power ups located across the playing field to destroy some of the enemy ships.
        One upgrade at a time appears in a random location on the screen.
        As soon as you pick up one upgrade another upgrade appears.
        Upgrades
        Blue – defensive forcefield which lasts until you collide with another ship. It acts similarly to a mushroom in Super Mario Bros. in terms of giving you another hit.
        Yellow cross – lasers which shoot horizontally and diagonally from the spot you run them over.
        Green – shoots a series of shots in whichever direction you are facing.
        Red swirl – shoots a radiant set of shots in all directions.
        Missiles – shoots a series of heat seeking missiles.
        Strategy
        Since opponents follow your path it is good to stay near the middle of the screen and work your way outward as you progress.
        You can take a circuitous path to pick powerful upgrades so that more enemies are near you when you pick them up, or so you are facing many enemies when you pick them up.
        Try to keep a clear path near the edge of at least one side of the screen so you can move between the top and bottom halves of the screen to collect power ups.
        Target Audience
        The game is suited for players who like flying strategy games.
        The game has no adult themed content.
