How to Play

Play Team Kaboom online for free. Team Kaboom is an endless pixelated shooter game where your goal is to defeat each enemy on the screen before they run into you. Shoot rapidly, stand in a defensive location, and defeat the big boss with the big gun to move onto the next level. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

Press the PLAY button in the center of the welcome screen to start the game.
Game Controls
- Desktop
  - Press the X key to jump. Press twice to double jump.
  - Press the C key to shoot, or to continue to the next stage after defeating one of the large enemies with a gun.
  - Touchscreen devices
    - Use the on-screen controls.
      - The movement direction pad is in the lower left corner of the screen.
      - The jump and shoot buttons are in the lower right corner of the screen.
      - Controls & indicators
        
        Your current game score & remaining lives are shown in the upper left corner.
        
        The upper right corner has buttons for pausing the game and sound control.
        
        Each on-screen enemy has a health status bar above them.
        
        Game Play
        
        Basics
        
        Lives
        
        In this game you have 3 lives to do as much damage as you can.
        
        Anytime an enemy bumps into you or shoots you a life is lost.
        
        While enemies can fall through the chasm at the bottom of the screen and re-appear at the top, you can not. If you fall into the chasm you lose a life.
        
        Whenever you lose a life you start off in the middle of the screen & must move quickly or else you can lose multiple lives in a row.
        
        Enemies
        
        Most enemies in this game run but do not carry a gun. You have to destroy them before they run into you or jump over them.
        
        When an enemy has a range attack you have to take them out quickly or get on another plane.
        
        Enemies have a power bar above their heads which indicates their health.
        
        red power bars are single-stage
        
        green power bars turn into red power bars after you have zeroed out the green power bars
        
        the enemy with a gun and a blue power bar needs to be hit through 4 consecutive sets of health bars (blue, yellow, green, & red) to defeat them
        
        Power Ups
        
        This game has crates in it which activate power ups.
        
        Run over the crate to collect a random power up, which works for a short period of time.
        
        A status bar shows you how much time you have remaining.
        
        When you collect a power up another crate appears in another location.
        
        Weapons
        
        Knife – does a lot of damage, but only works up close.
        
        Dynamite – throw sticks of dynamite
        
        Bazooka – fires one shot at a time which does a lot of damage
        
        Machine gun – fires rapidly
        
        Levels
        
        After you defeat an enemy carrying a large gun you beat the level and can move onto the next stage.
        
        When you move onto the next stage you begin it with 3 lives.
        
        Scoring
        
        Most enemies you defeat are worth 20 points each.
        
        Most larger enemies are worth 60 points.
        
        The end boss on each level is worth 200 points.
        
        Strategy
        
        In most cases the best place to stand is on the bottom platform on one of the sides, right under the ledge above. Players who master this can beat dozens of levels in a row as this move has the following benefits over most other locations:
        
        gives you a long time to adjust to new enemies entering the screen
        
        allows you to shoot enemies on either side of the screen (where they can’t reach you)
        
        only requires you to destroy about half of the enemies (as the other half would fall down the chasm at the bottom if they were not destroyed on their first pass)
        
        gives you a period of time where you can shoot at the strongest opponent to wear down his health while he is walking away from you
        
        If a box appears near you try to leave it for when you are struggling to keep up with enemies.
        
        If you die you will start in the center of the screen one level above the ground level.
        
        Try to re-establish a solid foundational location as soon as possible.
        
        When the enemy with a gun appears put all your energy into defeating him as that will end the level and give you 3 lives for the next level.
        
        Target Audience
        
        The game is suited for players who like fighting survival games.
        
        Players attack enemies with weapons including guns, knives, and dynamite.
        
        Pixelated blood is shown when the player is hit or attacks enemies.
        
        Other than the above, the game has no adult themed content.
